LO4 Final app designs and overview

 This mock up is the home page for the app of LeiSURE. This home page contains a feed of the activity of the friends of the user. This feed is useful for keep up on recent events and media that the users friends post. This mock up also shows the basic layout and flow of information, at the top a drop down box is clearly indicated by the symbol of the three lines. At the top there is also a bar that states Feed and Explore, these are buttons that when tapped on display the relevant page. The Feed page is currently selected in this mock up.  This mock up displays the Explore page for the app. This page is for exploring all the current posted events within a selected area. This page is where a user might search for matches and sports that might interest them. This mock up displays the drop down box page. This drop down box overlays onto the current page when selected. These are my initial drawings for my app LeiSURE. These were used as basic templates for designing the wire frames of the app.  These are my Photoshop wire frames, that I believe clearly depict the desired layout of my app.

LO2 Generating New Social Media Ideas

Idea 1 LeiSURE A social media site for local sports connecting and for the arrangement of sporting events. This social media will target adults who enjoy sport but may not have anybody to do these sports with.  Idea 2 A social media based upon the idea of connecting like minded people aspiring for careers. A similar idea to linked in that uses the aspirations and current careers to connect people with others to help each other. Idea 3 Social site for sharing ideas. A giant think tank.  This is just a place to share ideas, whether they are big plans or just a quick thought. People can then message eachother and if an idea is feasible. The idea can then be funded and developed by others on the site.

LeiSURE, the sporting social media application. Purpose The purpose for my social media product is to connect local sports enthusiasts so as to create a community of people who can organise and socialise with each other. The purpose to the app is to help people organise sporting activities with new people and to hopefully help these people find partners and teams for future activities.  Content, Information flow and Function The content of the site is split up into 2 parts, the Feed and Explore. The feed will mostly consist the posts that your connections have posted, events, photos and meetups. The explore section is there to encourage the userbase to find sporting events within there local area and expand there sporting connections within the site. There is also a tab of all the sports on the site, which would contain and updating feed of every events or photo posted on the site filtered by the sport selected. LO2 Developing Ideas

Social media connecting local sportspeople. LeiSURE Purpose The purpose of this social media is to connect people who want to play a sport but don't have anybody to play with. If somebody wanted to have a game of pick up basketball, they would post it up and maybe another person in the area would accept and meet them at the assigned basketball court to play the game. Another example could be a person wanting to go on a run but might not have a regular running partner, they could post the run time, location, route. The person would then be able to find another local person to join them on the run, this run could then become a regular occurrence for the person. I believe this social media would not only increase the activity of sports people in smaller areas and cities, it would increase the activity of non sports people and help introduce them to different sports. It would also help people to form friendly relationships so that in the future they will have people to play with....

LO1 Task 3 How social medias are used for advertisment and promotion

Twitter A) The advertising on Twitter isn't as bold as other social media, they disguise the adverts as posts on the news feed. These adverts display a promoted sign which informs the user that that post is in fact an advertisement. These ads often work on clicks, every 100 clicks pays twitter a designated sum. B) Content on twitter is often made viral via the use of the retweet and favorite features. The retweet feature essentially copies and shares someones elses' post to the users feed to be shared with their followers. The favorite feature is a way of a user expressing how much they like the post. These features help make a post popular and viral. C) If the user appreciates another users post they use the favorite and retweet features. If they wish to respond to the post they can use the reply feature which allows the user to write a response to the tweet. The user base usually uses the reply feature as a way to review a post. LO1 Task 2 Analyse positive and negative effects on social media products

Instagram Positive -Photo sharing platform that allows for social networking with friends and the world, leading to new friends and more exposure for the photographs. -Inspires people to take photographs. People who may not usually be artistic or interested in photography may become more interested. Inspiring young people to get into art and take up new hobbies. Negative -Profile could be personally compromising if not set to private. All content posted is viewable by anyone on the internet if the account is not set to private to restrict access. -No copyright laws meaning people can steal the users content. This theft of content may then be used to impersonate users. Or cyber bully. Twitter Positive -Gives users a platform to speak their mind, and also communicate with others with the same ideas. LO1 Analysing existing media products

Linked in Purpose Linked in is a social networking site that helps people connect potential business contacts and create professional networks. This social media is unique in the industry because of how limited business networking is. Content The content for Linked In mostly consists of mostly typical social networking features. For instance the homepage is the face of the site, it helps keep the user up to date on all the content there contacts post. The search page is for finding information that will help you create more links. There is also a suggestion section, this section suggests potential links so as to assist the user in making more contacts. Target audience The target audience for Linked In is any gender, any ethnicity, demographic of A,B,C 1. Most likely of western culture.
